HOW MUCH SHOULD I SPEND ON MY WEDDING FLOWERS?

'“How much do wedding flowers cost?” - This is probably the most asked question I get! If you have never before planned a wedding, or have any close friends or family who have recently got married to give help and advice, it can be a bit of a minefield trying to work out how to budget and allocate spending for the wedding of your dreams.

Whilst many brides and grooms try to be super savvy with flowers for their big day, your florals will be one of the main things that will turn the heads of your guests (other than you two of course!). Your flowers will be featured in all of your pictures and really dress the venue so flowers are definitely something you want to allocate a good budget to. No bride ever regretted spending money on wedding flowers!

So, what can you get for your money? Whilst every quote we create at Bloom Street is totally bespoke, here is a very rough idea below. Lots of factors will affect the total quote of your wedding florals, such as what flowers you want, the season you’re getting married in, how big your bridal party/guest list is and how abundant you want your flowers.

Here is a rough guideline to help with budgeting for your wedding flowers…

£1,000 - £2,000 - Personal florals (bridal bouquet, bridesmaid bouquets & buttonholes), minimal table arrangements

£2,000 - £3,000 - Personal florals, minimal table arrangements plus a small ceremony feature/aisle flowers

£3,000 - £5,000 - Personal florals, larger table arrangements plus a larger ceremony feature

£5,000 - £7,000 - Personal florals, larger table arrangements, aisle flowers plus multiple ceremony feature pieces

£7,000 - £10,000 - Personal florals, larger table arrangements, aisle flowers plus multiple showstopper ceremony feature pieces

£10,000+ - All of the above with more abundance and more flowers! Multiple ceremony feature pieces, maybe an arch, some flower clouds, aisle meadows, staircase arrangements or alternatives!

Take the above recommendations as just a guide, there are items you may not want and maybe certain areas of your venue that need more flowers than others!

How can you make the most of your money? There are a few ways you can make sure you’re spending your money as efficiently as possible when it comes to wedding flowers. We always recommend to reuse items; top table arrangements can also be used on your registry table, aisle arrangements can be reused and in some cases ceremony feature items can be moved too!
